WG-MMWR series mmWave water level sensor is designed and product by WaveGIS technology Co. aimed to provide more accurate and durable water level measurement with low noise and high-precision data processing capability. This product has its own built-in transmission module supporting low power and narrow band transmission providing by telecoms. In addition to that, this sensor could fully operate with built-in battery set and extend its charging system with solar panels if necessary.
WG-MMWR series water level sensor has water-proof capability and salt-mist resistance for harsh environment with its IP 68 protection enclosure and certified by SGS Taiwan. This product is widely used for river drainage, irrigation, sewer system to acquire real-time data with the ability to adjust parameter remotely and transmit data in encrypted protocol for cyber security. Smart Flood Defense Project in Tainan City

Installed 55 IoT based water level sensors to detect urban flash floods. The project can transmit water level data via LPWAN network (including LoRa and NB-IoT modules) and perform inundation impacts assessment in real-time.

Smart river applicaiotns and evaluation for Tamsui River

IoT based water level sensors were installed in the river basin for flood detection and prevention. The project transmits water level data via a NB-IoT module. The data transfer intervals are pre-configured according to the inundation heights in order to save power consumption of the devices. The higher the inundation level is measured in the river basin, the shorter the data transfer interval is configured.

Applying intelligent, low cost, standardized technologies of Internet of Things, a vibration sensor can monitor, measure and obtain engineering parameters, such as dam structural displacement, vibration, incline, etc. Moreover, it can perform relevant features’ computing and calculation. When the parameter value exceeds threshold(s), the sensor will issue warning(s) and transmit alert(s).
By implementing innovative monitoring and communication technologies to establish a smart information platform. The platform can promote the scale of sediment transportation monitoring facilities and achieve goals to inspect, control and manage sabo dams.
In summary, vibration sensors can monitor, aggregate, analyze, and detect sabo dam vibration patterns autonomously. The sensors transmit alerts when the measurements reach thresholds via LoRa network. To reduce the power consumption of the device, the sensor encloses a built-in Lithium-ion battery.

These projects installed a simple and low cost water level station, as described previously, which contains barometric pressure water level sensor and NB-IoT transmission module to extend the capacity of hydraulic monitoring, observations, and evaluations.

Vibration sensors have been widely adapted to prevent industrial machinery from critical unavailability due to outage or downtime. By applying IoT technologies, this robust 3-axis vibration sensor with LPWAN transmitter can remotely measure and assess parameters, such as relative displacement of physical quantities or inclines of a structure. In addition, combined with the edge computing, the sensor can perform a variety of eigenvalue calculations, for example, different states of average vibration, peak and root mean square, frequency conversion as well as shocks, under low power consumption conditions. Integrated with LPWAN network, it is suitable for remote sensing of stabilities of structures. It can generate alarms/alerts under abnormal occurrences. Gravity sluice pumping stations drain water to protect safeties of neighborhoods near drainages or river basins. By applying 3-axis accelerometer or G-sensor to calculate incline angles can control a sluice gate operation. The gate opening measurements (data) can be collected.
