2. Sensor and Transmission Technologies:
Data Logger (or Gateway) can interoperate various sensors. The Microcontroller (MCU) and data transmission modules of the Gateway have been designed and developed to adapt sensors or devices follow IoT defined components and interfaces, such as LoRa, 4G and/or NB-IoT modules via CoAP (Constrained Application Protocol) communication mechanism. In general, the involved technologies or protocols of the devices are compliant with open industrial standards and specifications.
3.Aggregated Sensing Data Platform
A Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform is established to integrate, distribute, analyze and compute sensing data in real-time. The Platform is highly available (99.95% availability), and the data storage is reliable (3 copies of data as default). The platform is composed of various modules; it supports M2M protocols, IoT message exchanging mechanism, API interfaces, such as MQTT, RESTful, HTTP, OGC SensorThings APIs, etc. The digitized engineering measures or GIS spatial data, aggregated from sensors, can be composed and converted into readable ASCII data, delivered via web APIs or Apps via protocols of MQTT, RESTful, HTTP or Internet sockets for further analyses, computing and modeling simulations.
